Southwestern Black Beans

Cinnamon Raisin Bagels

Breakfast was Cinnamon Raisin Toast with grapefruit juice, a Tums, and 7,000 IU vitamin D2.

I can’t remember if I mentioned it before, but I started taking an Ultra-Strength Tums every morning for calcium the last few months, when I changed multivitamins to one that has no calcium.  My daughter, now vegan, has taken one for years.  My son can’t stand the taste, so I make sure he gets several servings of calcium-fortified orange juice.  It has calcium lactate in it, but that should be vegan.  The OJ has as much calcium as milk but no animal protein to suck it all out of your bones.  Watch out for OJ with calcium plus vitamin D – it might not be vegan.

Had some cashews for a snack.

Late lunch was leftover takeout vegetable fried rice and no-salt vegetable juice.

In the afternoon I made Cinnamon Raisin Bagels and Pita Bread and Sweet Potato Dal.

Rice, Beans, Corn Sticks, Balsamic Vinegar, Chard

Dinner was leftover Southwestern Black Beans, leftover brown rice and takeout white rice, Corn Sticks, and swiss chard steamed over the simmering Dal.
