Pizza

Posted by tinako on May 21, 2010

Pizza tonight had Marinara, zucchini, onions, basil, Gimme Lean “sausage,” broccoli, olives, and red pepper flakes.

I had bought Follow Your Heart vegan mozzarella for my newly vegan daughter’s pizza.  I knew it would go bad before we would use it all, so I sliced it pretty thin and froze it in a sandwich container.  It has worked very well to take it out that morning and thaw it in the fridge – it was warm enough to separate off a couple slices.  The maybe ten freeze-thawing cycles it went through in using it up didn’t seem to affect it.

Today’s anecdote about animal intelligence related by Rae Sikora at Sunday’s Vegetarian Society meeting: Whale thanks divers for rescuing her.
