Blueberry Smoothie

I am a newbie to smoothies.  They never appealed to me all that much.  I don’t care to drink my food.  But my husband “wants” to start drinking them, so here is what we’re doing:

In a blender mix:

  • 1 banana (peeled, do I need to say that?)
  • 1-1/2 c frozen fruit
  • soymilk up to the 5 c mark in the blender
  • 1 T ground flax seed
  • 1/4 t vanilla

With blueberries it sure was purple!  He didn’t like the blueberry seeds, but I told him if he likes the idea we can get a better blender.

This makes several servings.  The banana makes things look kind of gray after a day stored in the fridge, but it still tastes fine.
