Agave Wheat Bread

Agave Wheat Rolls

This is loosely adapted from “Quick Mix Honeyed Wheat Bread” in Breads by the California Culinary Academy.  For directions, see my Beginning Bread instructions.  Makes two loaves or two dozen small rolls.  Agave is a little expensive, and you could probably reduce it or replace part of it with sugar.

  • 2-1/2 c warm water
  • 1/2 c agave nectar
  • 2 T yeast
  • 2 T oil
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 c whole wheat flour
  • about 5 c white flour
